My master's studies in automotive engineering. And my time in the Formula Student team, which I wouldn't want to miss for anything.
01The studies
I thought the master's would be easier. Instead there was advanced mathematics, Engineering Mechanics 3000, vehicle dynamics and engine technology. Despite the difficulty, the program was extremely exciting and instructive.
02Formula Student
Despite the demanding studies, I worked afternoons, evenings and nights in the Formula Student team of Darmstadt UAS (FaSTDa), where I developed, evaluated, built and race-tracked lightweight-optimized wheel carriers for our race car. The racing events in Hockenheim and Varano (Italy) and the exchange with engineers from various motorsport companies were just the cherry on top. What I really learned: how a small team with a shared mission grows beyond itself and makes possible what I didn't think was possible.
