I wrote my master's thesis here - a mechatronic kinematic air-vent system for a luxury vehicle - and then moved into the innovation department, doing applied research on alternative materials and manufacturing methods.

01Materials & prototypes

Applied research on shape-memory alloys in vehicles, plus lightweight-material consulting for Lamborghini and Audi.

I built mechatronic prototypes - with 3D printing, Arduino, self-developed and soldered boards (PCBs), capacitive touch foils, steppers and servos - including a FOLED display dummy that rolls out via shape-memory alloys.

02The FOXBOT

Then I switched into the software team and built the FOXBOT - my first chatbot: intelligent face recognition (C# + Intel RealSense + Emgu CV), speech recognition (Google Cloud Speech), semantics (Google Cloud Natural Language), text-to-speech (Microsoft Speech), a rich self-built dialog system, an SQL database, Outlook calendar integration and character animations.

I also got my first taste of reinforcement learning here (Q-Learning, SARSA).
