nico RSS
An AI-native news aggregator that turns information overload into prioritized knowledge

After a weekend at Lake Constance with friends, I realized how out of the loop I'd become on current topics. Read or listen to everything? Never!
01The idea
I needed a news aggregator. I tried various tools, but they only amplified the news flood and my inbox filled up instantly. So I built my own: nico RSS turns the daily flood of feeds into structured, prioritized knowledge - showing only what's relevant to your goals.
02How it works
You define topics, each with a learning goal - stay up-to-date, build knowledge, or gain actionable insights. nico RSS aggregates RSS feeds and YouTube channels or podcasts, and an LLM prioritizes every new article against your goal - with a feedback loop that learns from your feedback.
Every morning nico RSS writes a Daily Digest; every Monday a Weekly Digest that rolls up the week.
03Built to think with you
Beyond the feed, there's a reading list with content extraction, deep AI insights per article, a rolling per-topic knowledge summary, spaced-repetition flashcards (SM-2) and an action board that turns insights into Kanban tasks.
It's multi-provider (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google via LiteLLM), bring-your-own-key, and installable as an offline-capable PWA.
